In 2009, three prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
Poetry, Prose Fiction, and Prose Nonfiction.
There will be one $100 prize awarded in each category.
The contest will coincide with the Aetna Awards night, which honors both undergraduate and graduate student writing sponsored by the Aetna Chair of Writing, the Creative Writing Program, and the Freshman English Program.
Submissions Deadline for 2009: September 30, 2009.
Please limit submissions to six poems and two prose pieces per category.

Award recipients will be recognized at the Aetna Awards Night, Thursday, October 29, 2008, in the Konover Auditorium of the Dodd Center (the Special Collections Library right behind the Homer Babbidge Library) on the Storrs campus. Light fare will be served at 5:00. The ceremony begins at 6:30.
Award recipients will read from their work and have their pieces published in print and on the CWP website. Honorable Mentions will also be included for publication.
